Madden08 non convince su Ps3. Ign ha pubblicato le recensioni del gioco per Xbox 360, Wii e Ps3, e i voti sono stati rispettivamente 8.7, 8.5, 7.7, dichiarando la versione 360 come la migliore creata. Inoltre affermano che la versione PS3 è solamente un "ombra" della versione 360, e questo è dovuto alla limitazione dei 30fps, dato che gameplay e grafica sono evidentemente limitati. PS3

Madden NFL 08 on PS3 is no a great game. It is a shadow of its cousin on 360. Though the feature set is identical, the drop to an unstable 30fps hurts considerably. The visuals and the gameplay suffer. If you are a real Madden nut and think you can fight through the framerate issues, Madden is an overall good game. It just doesn't run very well. If you only own a PS3 and live for Sundays, then there really is no other choice than to give Madden 08 a shot.

Xbox 360

Madden NFL 08 is a great game. It's certainly the best Madden since the 2005 edition and a worthy offering for the new generation of gaming. The new animation system is outstanding and the game itself plays wonderfully. Madden succeeds where it matters most: The gameplay. Now Tiburon just needs to bolster the surrounding aspects and it could have a true classic on its hands in the near future. The presentation needs a serious kick in the ass. Let this be the last year with a radio broadcast play-by-play. It's embarrassing to listen to this homer calling (and miscalling) plays. Madden 08 is not the best football game ever made, but it is one of the better iterations in the franchise. It's certainly the best Xbox 360 football game to date.
